What being there looks like when disasters strike

The generosity of our donors puts our people on the ground where it’s needed most.
Meet Kerry, one of our incredible volunteers in the Cyclone Jasper recovery efforts. The video shows how our Emergency Services teams help locals navigate life after a disaster.

This summer, the number of Australian Red Cross emergency response activations has nearly tripled compared to the same time last year.

Many Australians are impacted by the devastation caused by bushfires, floods, severe storms, cyclones, and collective trauma events.

From record flooding after Cyclone Jasper hit far north Queensland to fires across the country, Australian Red Cross has supported more than 32,000 people just this summer.
