On 1 January, 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development officially came into force, after being adopted by world leaders in at an historic UN Summit.

The goals provide a timeframe of fifteen years for countries to mobilise efforts to:

  • end all forms of poverty
  • fight inequalities, and
  • tackle climate change.

The Goals call for action by all countries – be they poor, rich or middle-income – to promote prosperity, while protecting the planet.

During the FY22 financial year, our programs contributed, in some way, to 14 of the 17 goals.

The chart maps each of our programs to a sustainable development goal.

Whilst we do not currently use this framework to measure our social impact contribution, the larger circles represent a greater number of programs or activities, that correspond to a particular goal.

Click on each of the goals to learn examples of which programs and activities contribute to that goal.
